By signing this contract, I understand and agree to the following:

 

This puppy is the product of two purebred AKC and ASCA registered Australian Shepherd parents without any apparent health problems, known hereditary conditions, or show faults. This puppy is guaranteed to be in good health and free of infectious disease at this time of sale. Your puppy has been examined by a vet a few days before you received it and given a clean bill of health. You will get a copy of the health certificate and a shot record indicating when the next shots are due.

 

The breeder can give you a refund only if your puppy has an infectious disease confirmed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) within 72 hours after taking possession of the puppy at your own expense. If, at that time, your puppy is not in good health or has an infectious disease, you agree to produce a written report from the examining vet within 72 hours. It must include contact information, a statement including health issues, and that the problem is entirely attributed to the breeder for a refund to apply.  Also, you agree to return the puppy to the breeder at your own expense.

 

I will NOT receive a refund if I change my mind regarding this purchase, find a cheaper, lesser quality puppy elsewhere, suddenly develop allergies, or my landlord disagrees with my purchase.  Adding a new puppy to my household can be a 15-year commitment. Therefore, I have given my decision a considerable amount of thought BEFORE committing to purchase. Life-changing events can happen, and should I be unable to keep my puppy at any time during his/her life.  I will contact the breeder for arrangements to return or gain assistance in re-homing him/her and will never forfeit ownership to a pound, rescue, or shelter.

 

The third-party sale makes this contract null and void, as does the evidence of abuse, neglect, accident, including lack of adequate quality food, water, and shelter. Breeder/seller will not be responsible for injury or accident to the puppy or cost for repair once he/she leaves breeder care. Also, there are no guarantees for eye color, ear set, size, working ability, or reproduction ability.

 

This puppy WILL require medical attention at some point during his/her lifetime. I, the buyer, am prepared to pay all vet expenses from this point forward. I am making this purchase because I believe this puppy is in good health at the time of sale. I am aware this puppy has recently been de-wormed, and worms may be present in the stools as wormer is designed to rid the intestinal tract of parasites. I am also aware that healthy vaccinated puppies are still susceptible to contagious disease and parasites though every effort has been made to prevent this unfortunate occurrence.

 

This contract does not cover any internal or external parasites or protozoa. These are common treatable conditions in puppies and dogs, and I am aware my puppy could easily contract such an issue on the trip home.

 

Breeding rights included in this purchase by request, and I, the buyer, agree to find a mate of equal breeding quality with appropriate health clearances. I understand that Little Creek Acres does not want to be affected by their lines with many bloodlines with public health and DNA issues. Much effort and expense have been made to keep these lines free of a genetic defect, and I agree to produce responsibly to preserve and protect the breed's health and quality. I agree NEVER to register this puppy or their offspring as any other breed and will require the same contract of any family produced by this dog. I agree never to register this puppy with any substandard registry and only register with AKC and ASCA. 

 

I, the buyer, agree to breed responsibly and never sell offspring produced by Little Creek Acres Australian Shepherd to a broker or pet store but rather be committed to placing each puppy I have directly with his/her new family. Suppose at any time I am unable to fulfill this commitment. In that case, Little Creek Acres is available for me to surrender the puppies and their paperwork, which will be at your expense so that socialization, training, and placement of the puppies will continue.

 

I agree to always remove tails from offspring produced as this is breed standard. I agree to restrict breeding rights for any puppy produced not meeting breed standard because I understand the importance of breeding only to improve the breed, which means only allowing breeding rights with the best quality puppies in each litter.

 

No other guarantees are expressed or implied. This contract is under the jurisdiction of the State of Missouri. In any dispute, it is agreed the place of venue shall be in Vernon County, under Missouri law.

 

I understand I am responsible for continuing puppy vaccination and de-worming, flea and tick control, adequate QUALITY nutrition, fresh water, a warm/dry place to sleep, a fenced or supervised area for exercise and bathroom needs, and lots of love.
